Hakkari, east of the provincial and sixty second most populous city in Turkey. All of them are located in the Eastern Anatolia Region. The province of Hakkari was named after the Hakkar tribe, who lived in the south of Lake Van and extending towards Iran in ancient times. Hakkari's history is very old and shows that it was used as a settlement by Sumerians, Akkadians, Urartians and Assyrians.
